Description
Developed by the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Chemical Biological Center, these porous polyethylene disks allow a longer sampling time when using a viable Andersen impactor manufactured by Tisch Environmental.
The polyethylene disks are sized to fit part number TE-10-705 glass petri dishes with aluminum covers.
The disks are supplied non-sterile and must autoclaved at 121°C for 45 minutes prior to use. The disks absorb approximately 7mL of water and allow longer sample times when using a viable cascade impactor. Higher efficiencies are observed by using a filter placed on top of the porous disk. Tisch brand SF14652 MCE 90mm membrane filters are recommended.
